What is the minimum daily budget for a Meta lead generation campaign?

Answered by ·

The short answer

I treat about $50 a day as the sweet spot for a lead-gen campaign that's trying to find new customers. Below that, Meta finds it harder to reach the right people and your cost per lead tends to drift up.

So if a campaign at $50 a day is bringing your lead costs down, I wouldn’t be in a hurry to cut it back. Going lower to save a few dollars tends to cost you more per lead.

Before you set any budget, decide what the campaign is for. Is it meant to grow, or just to idle?

Idling is a real option. If you’ve decided to park a market for a while, I’ll drop the campaign right down to around $5 a day. You’re not trying to scale at that point. You’re keeping the campaign alive so it holds onto what it has learned, and you’ll still pick up the odd lead.

When you’re ready to push that market again, you can ramp it back up without starting from scratch. That beats switching it off and rebuilding later.
