How do I beat competitors in AI search results?

Answered by ·

The short answer

Answer every question your buyers ask, including the ones about your competitors. Map every decision a customer has to make in your category and turn each one into an article, and ideally a video too.

It’s the “they ask, you answer” approach. All I did is take that and build an AI to do it for me while I sleep.

Then do the part that feels uncomfortable: the competitor content. Write an honest “is it worth it” piece and a pros and cons piece on every competitor brand that has search share. When buyers research those brands, and when AI engines research them on a buyer’s behalf, your content is what they find. I’ve done this in one of my own businesses, and those pages now turn up in a good share of the AI answers about one competitor’s brand.

Keep it factual and opinion-based. Never defamatory.

The goal is that anyone who asks any question in your category lands on your answer. It also helps to structure your site so AI crawlers can read it easily.
