Question · Offers & pricing

How do I raise average order value without running a flash sale?

Answered by ·

The short answer

Run a standing spend-and-save offer and put it in your ads. Plenty of stores already have one sitting in the cart that nobody has ever advertised.

It could be as simple as buy three, get one free. Or buy two and get X percent off, buy three and get Y percent off, across a category. Nothing clever. The point is that it’s always on and people know about it.

Check what you’ve already got before you make anything new. If your store gives an automatic discount at checkout for buying a few items together, you’re paying for that offer without getting any credit for it. Build some static ads around it first. They’re quick to make and they’ll tell you whether the offer converts. If it does, add founder video ads explaining it.

If you sell a starter kit, there’s another lever. Put a prompt under the add to cart button that nudges kit buyers toward the full set, and test whether it lifts your average order value.
