Question · Offers & pricing
What promotions can I run in quiet months without training customers to wait for discounts?

The short answer
Keep a small library of about four simple offers and run one in any month without a big gifting event. Send them only to people who haven't bought recently, so your regulars never learn to wait for a deal.
Plenty of stores only think in big campaigns like Black Friday or Mother’s Day. Sales spike, then drop straight back. If campaigns reliably lift your sales, just run one every month.
Keep the offers simple. A 10% off code, easy. $10 off, easy. Free shipping this weekend, easy. A free or mystery gift with every order works too. Run it as a one-day flash sale or a weekend sale. A teaser email beforehand and a few emails on the day are all it needs, and it’s easy to repeat.
Who sees it matters most. Leave out anyone on a subscription and anyone who’s ordered in the last 30 days. Your best customers never see these deals, so you’re not teaching them to hold out for one. You’re just nudging the fence-sitters over the line.
